Your chat history

Chats save automatically from your first message; they live on your Informer server, so a conversation started on your phone is waiting on your desktop. The Chats tab is the archive: every conversation, grouped by recency, searchable, and yours to curate.

The chat history list with conversations grouped under Pinned, Today, and YesterdayThe chat history list with conversations grouped under Pinned, Today, and Yesterday
Pinned conversations hold the top; the rest group by when you last touched them.

How the list is organized

Conversations group by when you last touched them: Today, Yesterday, Past week, Past 30 days, then by month (January 2026). Two things float free of the timeline:

  • Pinned chats hold the very top, regardless of age. Pin the conversations you keep returning to: the weekly numbers chat, the one with the good prompt you keep reusing. Unpin sends a chat back to its place in the timeline.
  • A chat with a schedule carries a small alarm icon; its tooltip shows the next run. See Prompts on a schedule.

Names

A new chat names itself after your first message, so the list reads like a list of topics instead of "New chat" twelve times. Rename a chat (Rename chat) and the automatic naming backs off for good: your title sticks, even as the conversation moves on.

Finding a conversation

The search box at the top of the list filters as you type, matching chat names first and then recent messages, so a phrase you remember saying finds the conversation even if the title doesn't. The search bar in the top navigation goes wider still, looking across Apps and chats at once.

Deleting

  • One chat: Delete Chat removes the conversation after a confirmation. The dialog means it: "This cannot be undone."
  • Many chats: switch the list into select mode, check the conversations (or Select All), and delete them together. The same confirmation applies, with the count spelled out.

There's no archive; a chat is either in your list or deleted. If a conversation might matter later, pin it or leave it to sink into the month groups instead of deleting it.

Troubleshooting

  • "I can't find an old conversation." Search first; then check Pinned (it won't be in the timeline groups) and the month groups at the bottom.
  • "A chat I deleted is gone for good?" Yes. Deletion is permanent, which is why every delete asks first.
  • "The list shows a conversation I don't remember having." Check the alarm icon: a scheduled prompt keeps writing into its chat while you're away.
