Read me first

Installing Informer on your own server takes a license file and a few decisions made up front. Settle these before you start, and read through the full installation guide once before beginning so the steps are familiar.

You need a license file

Before installing, request a license file from Entrinsik for your installation. If you are installing in a multitenant environment, you need one license per tenant. If you have not received your license file, contact Informer Support at i5support@entrinsik.com.

Informer 4 licenses do not carry over

If you are an Informer 4 customer, your Informer 4 license file will not work with Informer 5. Request a license file specifically for Informer 5.

Check the requirements

Verify that your server meets the System requirements before starting a new installation.

Plan for HTTPS

We strongly recommend configuring Informer for HTTPS access. The steps depend on how you install, and are covered in the Configuration guides (Configuring HTTPS (Windows) and Configuring HTTPS (Linux w/ Docker)). Decide now whether you have your certificate and private key ready, since the installer asks during setup.
