Welcome to the Informer Help Center
Find guides, answers, and reference material for Informer, the AI-enhanced business intelligence platform from Entrinsik, and Informer GO, its companion app for desktop, mobile, and the browser.
Apps and Magic Reports
Describe the page you want, and Informer builds it with you. No development experience required, and nothing it writes is hidden from you.
Your Datasets and Ad Hoc Queries, presented as an interactive page: a dashboard, an infographic, a ranked table, a presentation. Every tenant has them, no extra license, and anyone with the Designer role can edit one.
Start where Magic Reports stop, adding API routes, a workspace database, messaging, and agents, so an App can run a process instead of only showing one.
Where Apps come from when you did not build them yourself. Install one in a few clicks, and it keeps receiving the publisher's updates.
- Apps: the gallery, what an App is, and everything in this section.
- Building Apps: describe what you want and build it by conversation.
- Apps for developers: build an App as a real project with an AI coding agent, and deploy it to Informer.
Finding your way around
Informer is one product, on one server, with two ways in. Informer GO is the companion app that carries your data, the AI built on it, and your Apps to your desktop, phone, and browser. The web interface is where that data gets connected, shaped, and published, and where Informer is administered. Both sign in to the same server and honor the same permissions, so the data a person is allowed to see is the same in each.
Informer GO and AI
- Informer GO: what it is, how to install it, and a tour of the app.
- Getting started with Informer GO: install, sign in, and start your first chat.
- Chatting with Informer: models, context, history, and scheduled prompts.
- Assistants: curated AI specialists with governed access to the Datasets, Libraries, and files you give them.
Working in Informer
Data moves through Informer in a chain, and each link has its own section: Datasources feed Queries, Queries feed Datasets, Datasets feed Reports, and Jobs keep all of it current.
- Datasources: connect Informer to a database or other system of record. Scanning one turns its tables and fields into the Mappings everything else is built on.
- Queries: choose the columns you want with Fields and the rows you want with Criteria, in the visual Query Designer or in SQL.
- Datasets: index what a Query returns, so it stays ready to search, filter, pivot, and chart.
- Reports: turn Datasets into dashboards, tables, and charts people can read, share, and act on.
- Jobs: refresh Datasets and Queries on a schedule, then email, export, or deliver the results.
Home is where you land when you sign in: everything you have access to, of every type, in one list.
People and administration
- Teams and Users: content is owned by Teams rather than individuals, and a User's Role in a Team decides what they can do with it.
- Settings (AI & Billing): credits, your subscription and license, which AI models are available, and who is allowed to use them.
- Administration: server settings, who can sign in, how the product is branded, and how it is kept healthy.
- Integrations: saved connections to external services, so features like Assistant Skills and Datasources can call them on a User's behalf.
Not sure what a word means? The Glossary has plain-language definitions of every Informer term.
