Vite Plugin Reference
The @entrinsik/vite-plugin-informer package provides everything you need for local Magic App development and deployment. It includes a Vite plugin, CLI commands, and workspace management tools.
Workspace CLI
The informer-workspace command manages your app's local development database (workspace). It creates an isolated Postgres schema on the Informer server where your migrations/*.sql files are applied.
Server Routes
Apps can include server-side JavaScript handlers that run on the Informer server in sandboxed V8 isolates. These handlers have direct access to the app's Postgres workspace and can make authenticated API calls — ideal for business logic, data transformations, or anything that shouldn't run in the browser.
Webhooks
Apps can expose webhook endpoints that receive requests from external services (Gmail push, Slack commands, Stripe events, GitHub, Shopify, …) without a logged-in Informer user. Each webhook URL embeds a signed token query parameter that the handler verifies — the endpoint is unguessable and tamper-proof, not anonymous. Webhook handlers run as the app owner.
Channels

WebAssembly & Web Workers
Running a WASM library — especially one that uses a Web Worker (DuckDB-WASM, sql.js, ffmpeg.wasm, pdf.js, ONNX Runtime Web) — works inside a Magic App, but the sandbox imposes a specific pattern. A naive new Worker(url) or a CDN-hosted worker/wasm will fail. This is the recipe that works, and why.
Deployment
The informer-deploy command builds your project and uploads it to Informer in a single step.
informer.yaml Reference
The informer.yaml file is the central configuration file for your Magic App. It declares the data your app depends on, custom roles, agents, events, live channels, and dashboard widgets.
